Procedure documentation
Procedures needed to be recorded in a consistent, structured form.
Secure Procedure & Patient Safety Application
We built a secure application for Northwell Health that lets physicians document procedures, capture prerequisites and spot patient-safety risks before sensitive clinical equipment is used.

What stood in the way.
Physicians needed a secure way to document procedures, capture prerequisites and identify patient-safety risks before using sensitive clinical equipment.
Procedures needed to be recorded in a consistent, structured form.
Prerequisites had to be confirmed and recorded before equipment was used.
Patient-safety risks had to be identified before a procedure went ahead, not after.
Clinical information had to be handled in a secure application.
How we answered it.
We built physician workflows for documenting procedures, with admin controls, configurable forms, procedure history, alerts and dashboard visibility. The application runs on Next.js, Python and PostgreSQL, hosted on AWS.
The parts that made the difference.
Step-by-step workflows guide physicians through documenting a procedure and its prerequisites.
Admin controls let administrators manage how the application is set up and used.
Forms can be configured so the questions match each procedure.
Past procedures are kept on record and can be reviewed.
What changed for the client.
Physicians now have a structured, secure way to document procedures and safety checks.
